History of Sizemore, Inc.
Sizemore, Inc. was founded in Augusta, Georgia in 1955 by retired police officer, Lieutenant Eddie Sizemore under the name Georgia Merchant Police Association. After his unexpected death in 1957, his wife, Mrs. Thelma Sizemore, overcame much adversity in her efforts to manage and grow the small company that would become the largest security corporation in Augusta by 1972.
Operating under the name Sizemore Security International, C. Preston Sizemore, son of Eddie and Thelma, became President and CEO. With vision and insight, he assembled a professional team, developed a strategy of diversification of services and implemented the Total Contract Services concept. In 1982, the Sizemore family founded Sizemore Personnel Services to meet the growing demand for a qualified, dependable workforce. After changing the staffing company name to Sizemore Staffing Services in 2000, the company continued to see success. Sizemore Janitorial Services started in 1991 and expanded with the edition of the Green Solutions Program which was launched in 2004. After 22 years of dedicated service, C. Preston Sizemore turned over the leadership of Sizemore, Inc. to Charlene P. Sizemore in 2004. With the intention of growing the business from a regional company to a national company Charlene envisioned the Certified Workforce Ready™ concept and a new venture was begun. During 2005, Sizemore Staffing Services began infusing the Certified Workforce Ready process. Under the direction of Charlene P. Sizemore, all three divisions of Sizemore, Inc. continue to experience success and growth throughout the United States.
